Lynetta Ann (Flanders) Gearhart, 72 of McAlisterville, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center Danville.
Born on Nov. 5, 1951, in Sunbury, Northumberland County, she was the daughter of the late Helen Virgina Flanders (Herold). She was the wife of Russell R. Gearhart who preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 2016. They were married on March 31, 1990 and were blessed with 26 years of marriage.
Lynn is survived by her children, Barry Gearthart and Dawna Pyle both of McAlisterville, Tim Gearhart of Milton, Stephen Flanders of St. Louis, M.O., 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Lynn was a graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School and worked at the Selinsgrove Center in food service until she retired in 2006. She was also a member of the Richfield Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and enjoyed fundraising and preparing and serving meals. She loved spending time with her family, shopping, cooking and reading. Lynn had many beloved pet dogs through her whole life and spoiled every single one of them rotten. Lynn was a gentle soul with a kind and generous nature who thought of others before herself and she will be sorely missed.
A memorial service honoring Lynn's life will be held on Wednesday, May 15, at 11 a.m. at the Higher Ground Assembly, 7713 Route 35 North, Mount Pleasant Mills. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 4250 Crums Mill Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
