Anti-semitism is not the answer to stopping Hamas To the Editor: I am totally perplexed. How is it that innocent people, in the comfort of their homes and in the company of their families were attacked, murdered and butchered yet somehow, they are labeled with disdain. I can only assume some have been educated to be ignorant. Hamas created the atmosphere of terrorism upon the Jewish people with the goal of removing all of the Jews from the “river to the sea.” They claimed to be the protectors of the Palestine people. Voters should consider voting against Democrats To the Editor: After observing the news broadcasting lately and seeing the demonstration going on, it brings a few thoughts to my mind. As for the antisemitic things being displayed, I think the following: (1) Most professors at universities that espouse these anti-Jew thoughts are liberal democrats. (2) Most of the anti-Jew students at the universities are left leaning or would call themselves liberal democrats. Teach your children well in age of misinformation To the Editor: On Jan. 20, 1942, 15 senior government officials of Nazi Germany met in the Berlin suburb of Wannsee for the purpose of planning and implementing the “final solution to the Jewish question.” The “final solution” was to deport most of the Jews of German-occupied Europe to Poland for extermination, a polite euphemism for murdering, killing, or gassing. Thank you to all for suicide prevention walk To the Editor: The eighth annual Juniata Valley Out of the Darkness Community Walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) was held Sunday, Oct. 1, at Kish Park, Lewistown. The three-county community walk welcomed residents and agencies offering resources within Huntingdon, Mifflin and Juniata Counties. With 275 registered participants and 36 teams, over $33,000 was raised to be used for research, advocacy, education and to promote awareness.
