The Catholic view of the blessed virgin To the Editor: Long overdue, this is in part a response to an Aug. 26-27 article in The Sentinel about the pope’s trip to Mongolia. It contained a couple of interesting but inaccurate paragraphs on church history and doctrine. Written by a news platform called The Conversation, the unnamed writer did a pretty good treatment of an ancient 4th-5th century heresy called Nestorianism.
