The Catholic view of the blessed virgin To the Editor: Long overdue, this is in part a response to an Aug. 26-27 article in The Sentinel about the pope’s trip to Mongolia. It contained a couple of interesting but inaccurate paragraphs on church history and doctrine. Written by a news platform called The Conversation, the unnamed writer did a pretty good treatment of an ancient 4th-5th century heresy called Nestorianism. Open border policies causing undue chaos To the Editor: How did we get into this? The ship is sinking and the crew are doing nothing about it, which is to say that the border is open, and thousands of people are pouring in each day while nobody is doing anything to stop it.
