Citizens could 'put out the fire'
To the Editor:
Remember the song by Billy Joel, "We didn't start the fire"? We are at a moment in time that could easily fill the next verse of that song!
Crossfire hurricane,
FBI is to blame.
Covid had by everyone,
Treatment for it's never done.
Insurrection at the Capitol,
Trump's defiance pivotal.
Democrats spend to save,
Inflation kills what we crave.
Criminal Floyd made a martyr,
BLM wants the home dollar.
Borders open wide for anyone,
Who's coming in? Everyone!
Hunter sells the Brand worldwide,
Dad says not me! He lied.
Secret paper in Mar-a-Lago,
Joe's garage not the same though.
Ukraine and Gaza up in flames,
Greed and hate are to blame.
We "did" start this fire, and it is time to put it out by replacing our leadership with people who have our future in mind and not their opponents! The fuel for this fire is greed! Everything boiled down to its base has profit for someone regardless of political party, skin color, sex, age or race. The love of money is truly the root of all evil! This Republic was paid for with blood and is being sold for money. What a deal for banks and politicians!
