Stone Arch Players Third Annual Theatre Camp

LEWISTOWN - The Stone Arch Players held a children's theatre camp from June 6 to 10, culminating in a performance held at the Theater-in-the-Park, Kish Park, home of the Stone Arch Players.The demand for the camp continues to increase, and organizers hope to expand even more in the future. LEWISTOWN - Curtis Caldwell, a fourth grade teacher at Lewistown Intermediate School, will star as Agent Ron Carter in "Rising Fear," which premieres July 21 in Johnstown.Caldwell, who is originally from southern Illinois, first caught the acting bug after he auditioned for Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" after graduating from high school."I had dabbled in class productions, but I never thought I had much talent. Teen production coming to Theatre-in-the-Park

LEWISTOWN - The Stone Arch Players will present their first full teen production this summer at the Theatre-in-the-Park, Kish Park, Lewistown. Allensville Fireman’s Festival begins Thursday

ALLENSVILLE - The annual Allensville Fireman's Festival will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday.A greased pig contest will be held Thursday. Registration for the contest begins at 6:30 p.m.Joe Bonson and Coffee Run will perform on Friday day night, and chicken corn soup will be the featured food.Saturday the Chris Woodward Band will entertain, and BBQ chicken dinners will be available starting at 3:30 p.m. The parade begins at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, and the raffle drawing will take place at 10:45 p.m.A new mechanical bull ride will also be at the festival.
