REEDSVILLE — The community of Reedsville is gearing up for its ninth annual Apple Festival. The festivities begin at 9 a.m. at Bender Park in Reedsville but for the hard working volunteers the festivities begin much sooner, according to organizers, who explained the apple butter-making begins the night before. “The kettles are started around 8 to 9 p.m. on Friday evening with volunteers stirring constantly all night long,” says Jo Ann Smith, event organizer.
