It may have been unintentional, but Lynn opened some eyes for Temple on Tuesday.
When asked about his experience with playing against Temple, Lynn called it a “huge game” for the Owls, who were 38-14 winners over Rhode Island on Saturday.
"It's the Super Bowl for Temple," Lynn said. "We have to have that mindset."
Many project that Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia will be filled with plenty of Penn State blue and white on Saturday.
Back in Lynn's time as a player with the Nittany Lions, the rivalry with Temple was played nearly every season. In his four years with the program as a cornerback, the two teams met each other every season. Most of those meetings were blowouts, but Lynn's final game was a 14-10 PSU win at The Linc.
Penn State lost 27-10 on its last trip to Philly in 2015 -- James Franklin’s second season.
"There were times we won handily. There were some times it was a dogfight and it came down to the end," Lynn said. "We know we're going to get their best and we just have to make sure our guys are prepared for that."
The two teams haven't played each other since 2016, which was a 34-27 PSU win in Beaver Stadium.

Any time he's had the chance to do it, Campbell has honored the Nittany Lions' past. He once again took the time to recognize a household name in Penn State history in Matt Suhey, who passed away on Sunday at 68 years old.
Suhey, a fullback, rushed for 2,818 yards and 26 touchdowns from 1976-79 as a Nittany Lion. He went on to be Walter Payton's lead blocker with the Chicago Bears through the 1980s.
"Tough weekend for the Penn State football community and family," Campbell said. "I want to extend condolences to the Suhey family, and what Matt and that family has meant to Penn State football -- a really tough weekend for everybody involved."

It's pretty clear that no one on Penn State's team sees players as outsiders that transferred in from other schools.
Lynn is going through his third transition as the defensive coordinator with a new staff. His plan was to build a defense from scratch so it feels like the Lions' defense as opposed to another team's gameplan.
And now everyone is speaking the same language, and it has come together as PSU's defense.
"We're all Penn Staters now," Lynn said. "You can't tell who's been here, you can't tell who transferred from Iowa State or another school."
Cousins was prepared to move on from the transfer talk as soon as everyone reported to campus in January.
"I say it all the time. I don't even see it as Penn State and another team," Cousins said. "I didn't see anybody as a transfer or anything else. It was the Penn State football team. I think we've done a great job of handling that and kind of forgetting the past."

While it's easy to remember that many college athletes are paid well in today's world of NIL, it's also easy to forget that sometimes those athletes have to provide for families.
Taupaki revealed that he recently paid for his parents' internet so they can watch him play football. His parents are older and traveling to State College from his hometown of East Oakland, Calif. to watch him play is out of the question.
"My parents are still struggling, and I'm still broke," Taupaki said. "While everyone else is trying to buy their next car, I'm trying to fill all the holes I have back at home.
"I come from nothing. When I go home, I'm not even a football player. I'm a son. That football stuff is out the door. The opportunity that I have in the NIL era and the great coaching staff, I'm thankful for that. But at the end of the day, I have things to do as a son."
After his comments Tuesday, Taupaki went around the room and shook hands with every reporter in the room.

Campbell confirmed both tight end Gabe Burkle and linebacker Alex Tatsch will be available on Saturday.
The two were both close to being able to play against Marshall. Burkle and Tatsch both practiced last week, but Campbell felt they needed more contact and collision in practice.
"It will be big to add both of those guys back on the football field," Campbell said.
