Outlaws ink new sponsorship deal

The World of Outlaws have a new title sponsor. Sears Roebuck Corp. and The World of Outlaws reached agreement on a three-year deal that provides sponsorship from Sears to the sprint car and late model series. Both parties have option years to extend the agreement. Sears Craftman Tools is the featured brand.The deal provides needed stability to the World Racing Group and Outlaw race teams. Racing season begins in Florida

Florida winter racing action is here. Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Fla., and East Bay Speedway are scheduled to operate this weekend. Late model racing was scheduled at Bubba's Friday. Tony Stewart's All Star Circuit of Champions open the sprint car season Feb. 4-6 at the track. Area speedways continue to prepare for the coming race season. Lincoln and Williams Grove have released their 2016 schedules, with changes at both.Lincoln Speedway kicks off the northeast outdoor race season Feb. 27. Selinsgrove, Bedford plans revealed; Outlaws make changes

Offseason activities continue at area speedways.Selinsgrove Speedway will again host a race car show at the Susquehanna Valley Mall from Feb. 21-27. There is no charge to participate.
