CURVE, Pa. – Altoona jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and cruised on the strength of a brilliant starting pitching performance from Peyton Stumbo and another 10-hit performance at the plate in a 10-3 win over Chesapeake. Stumbo tossed a career-long 5.2 scoreless frames and earned his first Double-A win on Wednesday. Stumbo allowed just two hits, one walk and struck out a season-high seven batters in the victory. The game ended after five innings due to the 10-run rule. The win for Belleville (8-4) kept it in third place, two and a half games behind league-leading Beaver Springs (11-2). UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State men’s soccer announced its 2026 campaign, including 10 contests at Jeffrey Field and five against teams that appeared in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Time designations for 2026 season will be announced at a later date. Penn State opens the fall with a pair of scrimmages, first on the road at American, then at home versus Syracuse. EUGENE, Ore. - Penn State opened competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday with a First-Team All-American performance from junior Ryan Henry, a Second-Team All-American finish from senior Collin Burkhart and a pair of men's 800-meter qualifiers from senior Niko Schultz and graduate student Allon Clay.
