By RAY WILDE Sports correspondent MILROY — Back on May 15, Reedsville edged Milroy, 2-1. It was much of the same on Tuesday as Reedsville again got by its rival, Milroy, 6-4. The win for Reedsville kept pace with the league leader Beaver Springs in the Mifflin County Babe Ruth League. Beaver Springs, which beat Belltown, 10-5, is now 11-2, while Reedsville is a game behind at 10-3. In that game in May, Jude Zook and Chase Krepps were both on the mound to end the game. ABERDEEN, Md. – In their first meeting in 10 years, the State College Spikes set a new franchise record with 10 stolen bases and outpointed the Aberdeen IronBirds, 7-6, on Tuesday night at Union Field at Ripken Stadium. UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State baseball senior Michael Anderson was named ABCA/Rawlings All-Region first-team as a designated hitter on Tuesday. He advances to All-American voting with those teams set to be released on Friday, June 12. McVeytown didn’t make an error and had nine players get hits as it improved its record to 5-6. McVeytown is just half a game behind Belltown (6-6) for sixth place in the Mifflin County Babe Ruth League. McVytown jumped out to an early lead as it was ahead of Milroy after two innings,10-3.
