Spikes-Cutters nixed due to weather

UNIVERSITY PARK – Sunday night’s scheduled first-half finale between the State College Spikes and Williamsport Crosscutters at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park was canceled due to inclement weather. The game will not be made up. Fans holding tickets for Sunday night’s game can exchange them for tickets of equal or lesser value to any other 2026 Spikes home game, based on availability. Exchanges can be made at the Spikes Ticket Office at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park during normal business hours. Wietgrefe named Eastern League Pitcher of the Month

CURVE, PA – Minor League Baseball announced that Curve pitcher Connor Wietgrefe has been named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Month for the month of June. Wietgrefe was promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis on June 25 and threw 18 consecutive scoreless innings over his final three outings in a Curve uniform. His scoreless streak was the longest by a Curve pitcher since Hunter Barco set the franchise record with 25.2 scoreless frames in April and May of 2025.
