Port Royal to host Kids’ Night on Saturday

By Brad Strawser

PORT ROYAL– Following the 11th rain out of the season, Port Royal Speedway is set to welcome fans back to The Speed Palace this Saturday, July 11, for an exciting night of racing and family fun as the annual Kids’ Night takes center stage.

The evening’s racing program will feature the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars, Penns Valley Meat Market PA Sprint Series RaceSaver 305 Sprint Cars, and the River Rock Campground and RV Park Limited Late Models.

In addition to the on-track competition, the spotlight will be on the youngest race fans with Kids’ Night, featuring Power Wheel and bicycle races during intermission. Children who wish to participate are required to wear helmets for all divisions.

As custom as well, there will be plenty of prizes and toys for the young fans to head into the Fan Zone to sign up for and leave the track with some extra special gifts thanks to what the Port Royal Speedway Kids’ Night committee was able to put together.

Saturday’s event offers an affordable night of entertainment for the entire family. General admission is $20, student admission (ages 13-17) is $10, and children ages 12 and under are admitted free. Pit admission is $35.
