Cal Ripken All-Star teams eliminated

LEWISTOWN — It was not the ending the Mifflin County Cal Ripken League had hoped for.
All four of its All-Star teams have been eliminated and only one made it to a final four.
The nine-year-olds lost in the semifinals to Harleysville, 16-14, in Red Land (Harrisburg). The other three teams were eliminated in the quarterfinals. The 10-year-olds lost to Central Dauphin, 16-9, at Upper Allen Township near Harrisburg.
The 11-year-olds were eliminated by Harleysville, 9-1, Kimberton (Phoenixville) and the 12-year-olds fell to Methacton-Audubon, 6-4, in Methacton.
The eight-and-under state tournament is next weekend.
