From staff reports CHAMBERSBURG — The Mifflin County Huskies crowned two champions at the Mid Penn Track and Field Championships on Saturday, in Chambersburg. Both came on the boys side as Reece Bell won the javelin title with a throw of 179-10 and Carter Smith captured top honors in the 1,600 with a time of 4:17.72. Gravel dominates Outlaws race at Williams Grove

MECHANICSBURG — David Gravel passed Kasey Kahne on the opening lap and dominated the Morgan Cup for the World of Outlaws sprint cars Saturday night at Williams Grove Speedway. Gravel, a native of Watertown, Conn., earned $20,000 for his 10th career Grove victory. The victory also takes the Morgan Cup trophy back to Outlaws headquarters in North Carolina. Huskies drop Rams, 5-2

HARRISBURG — Mifflin County scored all five of their runs in a 5-2 victory in the final three frames against Central Dauphin on Friday afternoon. The Huskies scored twice in the fifth and sixth frames and once in the seventh. The Rams had a 2-0 lead entering the fifth stanza. The Huskies had eight hits with two errors.
