St. Joe’s soars over Juniata, 71-34

MIFFLINTOWN — Juniata girls basketball fell to St. Joe’s on Thursday evening, 71-34.
For the WolfPack (14-2), Lauren Himes recorded 16 points and Naomi Crispin had a team-high 30 points.
Alexia Luckovich corralled 12 points for the visitors. Jacee Cunningham had eight points.
St. Joe’s tallied 11 three-pointers in the victory. Juniata had zero treys in the contest.
For the Indians, Sara Montoya had 10 points and Lindsea Gilson added 12 points. Mylee Landis and Carolyn Heidenreich each tallied four points.
Next, Juniata (9-6) hosts West Perry on Saturday.
Tigers roll past Buffaloes, 39-17
COCOLAMUS — East Juniata flew past Newport on Thursday night in girls hoops, 39-17.
EJ got 16 points from Landyn Cramer and 11 points from Madison Snyder.
Carolyn Dressler added nine points for the Tigers.
EJ made five three-pointers in the victory with Snyder making three of them.
Next, EJ (7-8) hosts Bellefonte on Saturday at noon.
