MT. UNION — Mt. Union wrestling beat Curwensville on Thursday night, 46-18.

Abe Weirich pinned Golden Tide’s Sam Gustafson at 4:59 during the 160-pound bout.

Mt. Union’s Haiden Inch got a 3-0 decision over Brooks Hendershot at 285.

AJ Chilcote pinned Tide’s Cooper Haag at 41 seconds during the 127-pound bout.

Next, Mt. Union is at Mid-Winter Mayhem, at Indiana University of Pennsylvania today.

Thunder routs Commission

BELLEVILLE — Belleville Mennonite topped Great Commission in girls hoops on Thursday, 46-17.

Leah Reed and Karina Renno each posted 19 points for the Thunder. Lilly Yoder added four points.

Mila Palazzi scored 11 points for Great Commission. Kayla Miller added four points.

BMS (3-8, 0-3 ACAA) visits Grace Prep today.

SWIMMING

Flames spin Runnin’ Bulldogs

Liberty University swimming beat Gardner-Webb, 154-95, on Thursday.

Sydney Houtz placed second in the 200 backstroke, and third in the 50 freestyle. She was also part of the winning 200 free relay. The Flames are at Campbell University on Saturday.

Warriors lasso Mustangs

MONTOURSVILLE — Montoursville beat Midd-West in boys hoops on Wednesday night, 66-54.

Noah Romig scored 24 points, including four treys. Garrett Leitzel added 23 points for the Mustangs.

Warrior Bryce Eberhart scored a team-high 22 points and Quinn Ranck recorded 14 points. Shea Ulmer posted 14 points for the Warriors.

Midd-West (6-6) travels to Lewisburg on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Mustangs stump Ironmen

DANVILLE — Midd-West wrestling toppled Danville on Wednesday, 54-6.

Mason Kerstetter pinned Ironman Austin Springer during the 114-pound bout at 2:53.

Ronnie Johnson, at 127, pinned Danville’s Zaynne Zutell at 1:09.

Charley Paige beat Danville’s Eli Welliver, 4-0, during the 145-pound bout.

Midd-West (3-1) hosts Shamokin at 7 p.m. next Wednesday.
