Please appreciate bridge replacement To the Editor: I don’t know how many residents of Lewistown appreciate the appearance of the recent replacement of the bridge on South Main Street that crosses Kishacoquillas Creek. However, it is not just a bridge, it has a lot of character. I know it’s just a bridge but I think it’s a great addition to our town. Someone thought it would look better with black and red graffiti. Beginning April 28, we will be celebrating Small Business Week across the state of Pennsylvania. This was announced by The Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED). Why does Biden think the rich don’t pay? To the Editor: Joe Biden seems to have made his campaign message, I will solve all problems by taxing the rich and the big corporations. So I ask, why can’t politicians be honest and tell the truth? Not new news, the top 1% of all taxpayers pay 46% of all income taxes collected. The top 10% pay 70%, and the bottom 50% only pay 2%. How to answer call for human rights To the Editor: In Switzerland last June, a gigantic rock slide came thundering down a mountain, only to stop next to a village, instead of obliterating it. For some ladies in the village, that luck was not enough for them.
