‘Republican’ officials go against ideals To the Editor: I am writing in concern of the County Commissioner’s letter to Senator Ward in support of H.B. 847 that was in the Readers’ Opinion in the Sentinel on May 15, 2024. H.B. 847 is a bill that would allow mail-in ballots to be counted beginning seven days before election day this November. Although when you first hear that, it sounds like a good thing, right? War is hell and that has been stated many times. Sen. Bob Casey’s tenure is not deserved To the Editor: Sen. Bob Casey, seeking his third reelection, lacks significant legislative accomplishments in his 18 years and is now backed by a $220,000 donation from his brother’s law firm.
