Citizens steamrolled in presidential election
To the Editor:
How embarrassed are you, of how our Presidential election is shaping up?
Mostly negative ads on both sides. Little about policy or direction is said. If you're not embarrassed you have no pride; your dignity is damaged and you can't face reality. If you're under 40 you have the excuse of being brainwashed via your education, lack of civics training, or just plain indifference. If you're indifferent, you're likely being cared for by the government and don't want to upset the status quo.
What this country needs is lightning in a bottle. A leader who comes out of the blue like a bolt of lightning and shines on us all. Not red not blue, just white hot!
We need someone who can melt the division we all face and blend our extremes with the middle. I sincerely hope we are offered a better leader as President between now and the election. I know, I'm a dreamer. I feel like I'm on death row being offered an electric chair or a gas chamber. Which way is better? I'll be dead either way!
If you look at Biden and Trump what do you see? You have seen them both in the office! You'll get more of the same. The march to the nursing home or the witch hunt will continue. Either way, the public at large, loses! Follow the minions pushing the wheelchair to file more lawsuits or follow the perfect man with perfect hair who thinks he has perfect ideas to a perfect point of never-ending controversy! Either way, we have a serious problem with the direction our Republic will take. We are at a crossroads of diminished ability and pure hatred of a faulty ego! Neither choice is a good one. The world is watching and ready to react. The "don't tread on me" snake has been run over several times. He gets weaker every time and a steamroller is coming right at him!
