Trump’s COVID actions saved many lives
To the editor:
This letter is in response to the garbage in the Sept. 2 Sentinel by Mr. Becht.
Your claim of President Trump killing over 630,000 people because he didn’t know what to do about COVID, or as you put it, didn’t like the guy who wrote the book, is completely ridiculous. It is a fact that Trump saved many lives when he put the travel ban in place for people coming into the U.S. from China and other countries long before the Democrats wanted any restrictions. Many Democrats, including those in Congress and the mayor of New York City, Trump was called terrible names by these people. It was later proven to be something that saved many lives.
What about the Democratic governors that were responsible for putting COVID patients in nursing homes like Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York, among the most notable. COVID ran wild through these homes killing many, many thousands needlessly. It was especially bad for New York because Trump even supplied a hospital ship in New York harbor, which the governor barely used.
Donald Trump’s efforts to get a vaccine produced faster than anyone thought possible is still saving lives. “Warp Speed” was Trump’s doing.
If anyone is responsible for millions of deaths worldwide, it is the Communist Chinese government because the virus came from their Wuhan lab and the China government could have given a heads-up to the world and stopped people from leaving China and bringing it to the rest of the world.
Now for the stupidity of even remotely making a comparison of death from a pandemic to those being killed in the womb. All those who die of sickness is random and in most cases not planned, but all abortions are planned and it is the same as murder as far as I’m concerned.
As for anyone trying to make any implications as to morality of one political party because one president has an affair, let me say that anyone who has an affair is wrong. It is sin. But political parties that live in glass houses should not throw stones. Do the names John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and William J. Clinton ring a bell?
I know this is not part of my comments on the aforementioned letter, but since we are discussing stupidity, I just heard that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and some others in Congress, people of the Democratic persuasion, are saying it was because Republicans would not vote for this $3.5 trillion spending plan that contains a bunch of money for Green New Deal stuff is why Ida happened. And if they would just get on board and pass it, we would not have any more storms. Is there anyone out there who truly believes that, I hpe that they never have any children. Keep that stupid gene out of the gene pool.
