Admit the truth, rather than cover it up

In our first article on Jehoshaphat, we mentioned some of the good things he did. In II Chronicles 20:32 it says, “And he walked in the way of his father Asa, and did not turn from it, doing what was right in the sight of the Lord.” This seems to be an overall assessment of the years he reigned. What would Christmas be without music? Didn’t angels sing the night Christ was born? (Luke 2:13-14) Well, it doesn’t say they sang. It says they were saying, “Glory to God in the highest . . .” but that sure sounds like singing to me. How much do you know about music and musical terms? Walk raises $3K for ministries

MIFFLINTOWN — Coordinators of the Juniata County CROP Walk raised nearly $3,000 for local food ministries. Checks of $1,487.41 were distributed to Juniata County Meals on Wheels and the Juniata County Food Pantry on Dec. 7. The CROP Walk was held Oct. 10 and raised $12,119.30 with eight participants both in-person and online. The funds are used by Church World Service to support hunger ministries around the world with 25 percent supporting local ministries. Be thankful for what you have

A true account is told of a group of young people who had gone to the Caribbean on a mission trip. They didn’t travel there for luxuries the area is known for. Instead, they visited a leper colony on the island of Tobago. While there, they held a worship service. We can only imagine the impression that must have left on the hearts and minds of those young teens, as the emaciated lepers filled the bare pews, waiting to worship the God they loved.
