From staff reports LEWISTOWN — Motorists in Mifflin County could encounter lane restrictions and flaggers on several major routes this week as Pennsylvania Department of Transportation crews perform bridge, shoulder and drainage maintenance, with additional work scheduled throughout neighboring Juniata County. In Mifflin County, bridge maintenance and cleaning is scheduled Monday through Thursday on Route 322 between the Milroy and Reedsville-Belleville exits. Two injured after vehicle overturns on Route 22 THOMPSONTOWN — Two Harrisburg residents suffered suspected minor injuries when their vehicle overturned Aug. 10 on U.S. Route 22 in Delaware Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown. Police said Shawna M. Nichols, 38, was driving west near the Pfoutz Valley exit at about 2:59 p.m. when her 2017 Nissan Maxima began hydroplaning in heavy rain. From staff reports ALLENSVILLE — A Mifflin County project will receive more than $372,000 in state funding to improve pedestrian and traffic safety along Route 655 in Allensville, one of 50 transportation projects receiving nearly $54 million statewide. Gov. Josh Shapiro announced Monday that the Menno Township Board of Supervisors will receive $372,184 through Pennsylvania’s Multimodal Transportation Fund to install medians and crosswalks along Route 655.
