Two injured after vehicle overturns on Route 22
THOMPSONTOWN -- Two Harrisburg residents suffered suspected minor injuries when their vehicle overturned Aug. 10 on U.S. Route 22 in Delaware Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said Shawna M. Nichols, 38, was driving west near the Pfoutz Valley exit at about 2:59 p.m. when her 2017 Nissan Maxima began hydroplaning in heavy rain. The vehicle moved into the right lane, struck an embankment and overturned onto its roof.
Nichols and passenger Arthur J. Jackson-Person, 38, reported suspected minor injuries but declined transport by EMS, police said. Nichols was cited for a roadway violation.
Police make drug arrest after domestic call
MILROY -- A 44-year-old Decatur Township man was arrested after state police investigating a domestic incident Aug. 4 allegedly found drugs.
Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown said drugs were seized from the man during the investigation on Bear Run Road. Police said he was arrested through Magisterial District Judge 58-3-02. His name was not provided in the report.
Richfield man arrested for DUI
MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS -- A Richfield man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop early Saturday, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove.
Police said Tony Leister, 43, was stopped at about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 15 in the area of 8635 Route 35 in Perry Township, Snyder County. Troopers determined Leister was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and arrested him for DUI.
Teen seriously injured in Route 26 crash
MARTINSBURG -- A 19-year-old Mount Union man suffered suspected serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash July 17 on Route 26 in Lincoln Township.
State police said Matthew E. Williamson Jr. was traveling north at an excessive speed near Lakeview Drive when his 2007 Pontiac G6 crested a hill, entered the opposing lane and then returned to the northbound lane. The vehicle fishtailed, left the road, struck a tree and crossed the roadway before coming to rest in a yard.
Williamson was transported to UPMC Altoona for treatment. Police said he was cited for driving at a safe speed.
Reedsville woman crashes into traffic signal
MILL CREEK -- An 18-year-old Reedsville woman escaped injury after crashing into a traffic signal July 21 in Mill Creek.
State police said Annalisa H. Kline was traveling east on Route 22 when she failed to negotiate the intersection with Route 655. Her 2009 Nissan Versa struck a traffic signal support post and sustained disabling damage.
Kline was not injured and was cited for a roadway violation, police said.
Mount Union woman charged after disturbance
MOUNT UNION -- A Mount Union woman was charged with disorderly conduct and taken into custody on an outstanding warrant following a disturbance July 15.
State police said Sarah Gilbert, 52, was charged after troopers responded to South Division Street at about 2:02 a.m. Police said Gilbert was also taken into custody on a previous NCIC warrant.
Mount Union man faces drug paraphernalia charge
THREE SPRINGS -- A Mount Union man faces charges after state police allegedly found drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop.
Police said Tradarious Dorsett, 28, was stopped shortly after 11 p.m. July 24 on Church Street in Clay Township for a vehicle code violation. Police said drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle, seized and charges were to be filed.
