Our church was held at Jacob W. and Sadie Yoder's on Sunday, and South District was at Jacob A. and Sarah Swareys. There were visitors here from Big Valley and Juniata County, too. Greetings everyone. Welcome to September. For Labor Day weekend coming up for most it puts an end to summer. The children will be settled in for a new school year and all the beautiful fall colors start showing up. Summer seemed to have passed us by so quickly. It just seemed like yesterday when we were trying to decide where we were going to spend our summer vacation or, in my case, watch my grandson graduate from high school. Greetings to all. We had a lot of rain again Saturday night, with a thunderstorm bringing us two and 8/10 inches. Last night's showers were 3/10 of an inch. The sun is shining, and it was a nice day yesterday, Sunday. I have some good news to share this morning. Twin sons were born this morning to neighbors Noah and Sylvia Peachey, named Elam and Elmer. Joining two brothers and two excited sisters. Elmer was taken to the hospital needing medical attention for his breathing. They have hopes he won't need to stay long. Data centers drive surge in Pa. power demand forecast

HARRISBURG — Data centers and other large electricity users are expected to drive a sharp increase in Pennsylvania’s power demand over the next several years, according to a new report from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. The PUC’s 2026 Electric Power Outlook projects industrial electricity use will increase an average of 18.56% annually through 2030, compared with increases of 0.52% for residential customers and 0.32% for commercial customers. STATE COLLEGE — Musica Antiqua of Central Pennsylvania will present “Medieval Fairy Tales and Sorcerer’s Magic” from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at St. Peter’s UCC/ROPC, 1795 W.
