Greetings everyone. Welcome to September. For Labor Day weekend coming up for most it puts an end to summer. The children will be settled in for a new school year and all the beautiful fall colors start showing up.

Summer seemed to have passed us by so quickly. It just seemed like yesterday when we were trying to decide where we were going to spend our summer vacation or, in my case, watch my grandson graduate from high school. Time seems to have a mind of its own.

These few heavy rainstorms we had over the past week seem to have brightened things up. But in some areas left a bit of flooding. The threat of a tornado has been brought up as well, and we never thought it could happen in our area.

Thank you to all who attended our August bingo held at the Granville Event Center on August 30th. We look forward to seeing you all at our next bingo.

2026 Fall Pew Pew Bingo – The Granville Fire Company is excited to announce our 2026 Fall Pew Pew Bingo happening Saturday, October 24th, 2026, at the Granville Fire Company Events Center at 105 Malta Drive. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Bingo starts at 5:30 p.m. Only 250 tickets will be sold. Your $50 ticket includes admission, a delicious meal, alcoholic beverages, soda, and water. Granville United Methodist Church with Rev. Jen Heikes, Pastor Sunday worship: 10:30 a.m. Sunday school: 9 a.m. Fellowship hour: 10 a.m. Charge announcements: 5th Sunday combined charge service, Sunday, August 30th at 10 a.m. Wayne UMC Fellowship meal to follow.

Mission Central HUB – the next HUB will be held at Walts UMC in Belleville on Saturday, November 7th, starting at 9 a.m. We are to bring combs and an additional 20 hand towels.\

Wayne UMC Senior Luncheon, Tuesday, September 15th at 7 p.m. Weekly Bible study at Wayne UMC Thursday, September 17th at 10 a.m. All are invited to attend.

Wayne UMC Fall Fest Saturday, September 26th from 4 to 7 p.m. Food, fellowship, and entertainment. Held rain or shine.
