Greetings to all. We had a lot of rain again Saturday night, with a thunderstorm bringing us two and 8/10 inches. Last night’s showers were 3/10 of an inch. The sun is shining, and it was a nice day yesterday, Sunday.
I have some good news to share this morning. Twin sons were born this morning to neighbors Noah and Sylvia Peachey, named Elam and Elmer. Joining two brothers and two excited sisters. Elmer was taken to the hospital needing medical attention for his breathing. They have hopes he won’t need to stay long. He was the biggest, over 5 pounds- was it 12 ounces? And Elam is smaller at 4 pounds 8 ounces. But he seems stronger. Grandparents are Mrs. Barbara Peachey and Alvin, and Mary Yoder. Great-grandparents are Josiah and Annie Peachey. A son, Reuben, was born on the 17th to Aaron and Rebecca Peachey, joining three brothers. Grandparents are Samuel and Nancy, Mahlon and Annie Peachey. Great-grandparents are Josiah and Annie and Kore and Fannie Peachey.
On the 18th, my three sisters were all here for the day. That day was 51 years after our dad had a fatal farm accident.
Jonas and Mollie Kanagy and two children, Leroy and Ella Peachey and son, are on a trip to MO to visit their brother and family, Samuel and Sally Kanagy.
Wishing the sick and caretakers better days again. Could’ve mentioned that our schools started today. Some new teachers. Wishing all a nice term.
Happy birthday to Bennie Kanagy and Ben Peachey on the 29th.
Published to marry Sept. 3 are Sylvan Peachey, son of Noah and Katie, Rockville, I.N. and Ruth Byler, daughter of Joe and Esther, local.
Best wishes to all!
