Lewistown announces fall leaf collection schedule

LEWISTOWN — The Borough of Lewistown will begin fall leaf collection Monday, and continue through Friday, Dec. 4. Leaves will be collected Monday through Friday on the next working day following residents’ regular refuse collection day. Residents should place leaves at the curb in plastic trash bags before 6 a.m. on their scheduled pickup day. Borough refuse tags are not required. McClure man arrested after DUI crash

McCLURE — A McClure man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash Oct. 7 in Snyder County, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove. Police said Joshua E. Salter, 25, was driving a 2018 Ford F-150 south on Stage Road at approximately 6:18 a.m. when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Ridge Road. The vehicle left the roadway and came to rest against an embankment south of Ridge Road.
