Regional police respond to more than 600 incidents LEWISTOWN — The Mifflin County Regional Police Department responded to 602 incidents during June, according to monthly statistics released Monday. Among those incidents were 17 burglary, theft or fraud investigations, four assaults and 33 motor vehicle crashes. Officers also issued 124 traffic citations, five non-traffic citations and 35 warnings during the month. Police reported making eight arrests for driving under the influence in June. Beginning Wednesday, July 15, motorists traveling westbound on I-80 will encounter temporary daytime lane closures between mile markers 163 and 156 as crews complete patching along the center and edge lines.
