Beaver Avenue closure scheduled for construction

From staff reports STATE COLLEGE — A section of Beaver Avenue in State College will be closed beginning June 8 to allow for construction activities related to a residential building project, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. PennDOT said Route 26 (Beaver Avenue) will be closed between Atherton Street and Burrowes Street starting Monday, June 8, as a crane is staged on the roadway for the project. HARRISBURG — Many Pennsylvania counties are failing to review the death of every child in their area, despite a 2008 state law that requires them to do so.
