Mifflin County measles cases rise to 57

LEWISTOWN – Mifflin County’s confirmed measles count has climbed to 57, giving it the second-highest county total in Pennsylvania as the statewide outbreak continues to spread. The county added eight cases between Sept. 2 and Sept. 4, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s measles dashboard. Its count has nearly doubled since Aug. 25, when the state reported 29 cases in Mifflin County. Only Lancaster County, with 246 cases, now has more. 14 hospitalized in overturned tractor-trailer crash

DILLSBURG — Fourteen people were taken to five hospitals after a tractor-trailer overturned in a seven-vehicle crash Saturday in York County, according to York County emergency management officials. Reports state that two people were flown by helicopter to hospitals and were listed in critical but stable condition. One person had to be extricated from a vehicle. Two other people declined medical treatment. The ages of those injured were not immediately available, although Czech said one of the patients was a teenager.
