One killed, another injured in Snyder County rollover crash

McCLURE — One man was killed and another seriously injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash Saturday evening in McClure Borough, according to Middleburg police. Middleburg Police said officers responded to the crash on state Route 522, just north of the Forbes Street intersection. The driver, Ronald S. Whitman Jr., 31, of Winfield, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, Clinton T. Muir, 32, of Tyrone, was flown by medical helicopter to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for treatment. Passenger injured in Milford Township rollover MIFFLINTOWN — A passenger suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle rollover crash July 4 on Licking Creek Road in Milford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Police said Michael O. Alvira Molina, 28, of Mifflin, was driving west on the gravel roadway at about 4:27 p.m. when he attempted to negotiate a sharp right-hand curve but was traveling too fast. Regional police respond to more than 600 incidents LEWISTOWN — The Mifflin County Regional Police Department responded to 602 incidents during June, according to monthly statistics released Monday. Among those incidents were 17 burglary, theft or fraud investigations, four assaults and 33 motor vehicle crashes. Officers also issued 124 traffic citations, five non-traffic citations and 35 warnings during the month. Police reported making eight arrests for driving under the influence in June.
