No injuries reported in Route 22 crash MILLERSTOWN — No injuries were reported in an Aug. 3 two-vehicle crash on U.S. 22 westbound in Perry County. Pennsylvania State Police at Newport said a 2026 Honda CR-V was traveling in the left lane near mile marker 214 at about 7:36 a.m. and attempted to enter the right lane when it struck the driver’s side of a 2023 Ford F-250 SuperCab. The collision caused denting to the vehicles. Both drivers were able to leave the scene, and no injuries were reported. Unclaimed property event set for Wednesday LEWISTOWN — The Pennsylvania Treasury will host an Unclaimed Property Event from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce. Treasury staff will be available to help residents search for unclaimed property, begin claims and answer questions. Richfield man killed in Centre County crash

From staff reports CENTRE HALL — A Richfield man was killed early Wednesday in a crash involving a tractor-trailer in Centre County, according to the Centre County Coroner’s Office. Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers identified the victim as Ardell W. Wadel, 19, of Richfield. Sayers said Wadel died from traumatic injuries sustained in the crash and ruled the death accidental. The crash occurred in the 3200 block of General Potter Highway (Route 322) in Potter Township. Lewistown man charged after police allege toddler assault

LEWISTOWN — A Lewistown man is facing felony charges after police allege he physically assaulted a 3-year-old child in his care, causing injuries that required hospitalization. Hunter Austin Krepps, 23, was charged with two counts each of endangering the welfare of children and aggravated assault involving a victim younger than 6 years old. He was arraigned Aug. 7, bail was set at $100,000 and he was committed to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail.
