‘Peppa Pig brings live orchestra to Eisenhower Auditorium
UNIVERSITY PARK — Peppa Pig and her family are heading to Happy Valley later this month for a family-friendly musical performance designed to introduce young audiences to classical music.
“Peppa Pig: My First Concert” will take the stage at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 26, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
The show features Peppa, Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, George and baby sister Evie as they explore the sounds of different musical instruments. A live orchestra will perform selections from the television series along with other classical pieces geared toward children. During the performance, some children in the audience will be invited to participate and help make music onstage.
Ticketholders are also invited to attend a free pre-show family activity from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the auditorium’s conference room. The event will include interactive creative stations and a passport-themed activity. The pre-show program is presented in partnership with the Penn State Music Service Club, Schlow Centre Region Library and the Center for the Performing Arts’ arts engagement assistants.
American Sign Language interpretation will be offered during the performance. Patrons seeking ASL seating accommodations are asked to contact the Arts Ticket Center by March 12.
