Lewistown Community Garden accepting plot applications

LEWISTOWN — The Lewistown Community Garden is accepting applications for the 2026 growing season.

The garden, located at 1 Jim Tunall Drive, offers 8-by-4-foot plots for $20 for the entire season. Gardeners have access to tools inside the garden and can attend free garden-related workshops throughout the season.

Plots are also available to community organizations interested in growing produce for donation to a local food pantry.

Applications are available in the Seed Exchange Box outside the garden fence and at the Mifflin County Library, 123 N. Main St. Those interested can also request an application by emailing sara@buffington.tv.

Camp K to host Run and Reel Spring Festival

SPRUCE CREEK — Camp K will host its Run and Reel Spring Festival from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 25, offering a day of free family activities.

Participants can sign up for a trail run through the camp’s scenic trails or take part in a fishing tournament along the property’s creek.

The event will also feature local vendors, hayrides, a zipline and a children’s carnival. Parking will be available on site at no cost.
