Lewistown man picked up on warrant

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers were dispatched to the first block of McClintock Avenue in Lewistown for a domestic dispute at 8:58 a.m. on Jan. 9, according to a release issued on Friday. Upon arrival, officers could hear a female inside yelling, the report said, and officers made contact with a female and a male, identified as Jason S. Gordon Sr., 48, of Lewistown, who claimed the dispute was only verbal. Officers were aware that Gordon had an active warrant for his arrest and took him into custody, the report said. Gordon requested a sweatshirt from inside his residence, the report said, and while inside, officers observed three glass smoking devices used to smoke controlled substances. Gordon was transported to the jail while additional officers remained on scene, the report said, and a search warrant was obtained and executed at the apartment. Officers retrieved several pieces of drug paraphernalia, the report said, and Gordon admitted some of the paraphernalia belonged to him. Gordon was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, the report said.

McClure woman cited for public drunkenness

LEWISTOWN — A 51-year-old McClure woman was cited for public drunkenness after falling over three times while playing skills games at the Laundry Room, located at 205 S. Dorcas St., Lewistown, at 7:25 a.m. on Jan. 11, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. Officers were dispatched and found Maranda L. Brought leaning over the back of a chair sleeping while standing up, the report said, and she was extremely impaired from consuming drugs. Brought admitted to ingesting multiple impairing substances, the report said, and she was transported to a residence and released to a non-impaired adult.

California man jailed for public drunkenness

LEWISTOWN — David S. Riggle, 59, of unknown address in California, was held in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown after he was arrested for public drunkenness for becoming uncooperative at 6:55 p.m. on Jan. 11, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. Officers were dispatched to the first block of East Hale Street in Lewistown for an intoxicated man acting suspicious, the report said. Officers located Riggle, who was highly intoxicated from consuming alcohol and was semi-responsive. Officers assisted Riggle to his feet and were going to transport him to the hospital, the report said; however, Riggle became defiant and tried to pull his arms away. Officers secured him in handcuffs and he was transported Riggle to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility where staff refused him at the jail. Riggle was denied entry as he would not tell staff what substances he ingested and he would not provide a preliminary breath test, the report said. Officers transported Riggle to the hospital where he was medically cleared and returned to the correctional facility where he was held, the report said.
