Tigers maul Trojans, 48-32

COCOLAMUS — Carolyn Dressler had 16 points as East Juniata beat Upper Dauphin in girls basketball action on Monday night, 48-32.

For EJ, Landyn Cramer tallied 13 points and Makaylyn Peters had eight points. Madison Snyder added eight and Kennedy Seigler-Lewis posted three points.

EJ hit five three-pointers.

For UDA, Alana Bingaman and Paige Williams each had nine points.

UDA made five shots from downtown.

Juniata rolls past Newport, 51-21

NEWPORT — Juniata girls basketball defeated Newport on Monday, 51-21.

For the Indians, Grace Reinhold had 11 points and Maura Campagna added 10.

Mylee Landis, Sara Montoya and Aubryn Deihl each posted six points.

Juniata made three three-pointers and the Indians also went 6-for-12 at the foul line.

Thunder edge Ferndale, 33-28

BELLEVILLE — Belleville Christian girls hoops beat Ferndale on Monday, 33-28.

BCS (4-8, 3-4 ACAA) got 10 points from Abby Yoder and seven points from Hailey Zook.

Angie Weaver tallied six points and Izzy Weaver added five points.

For Ferndale, Brynn Hyland had 10 points and Geanna Riffle added six. Peyton Bailey had six points.

The Thunder go to Juniata Christian on Friday.

9TH GRADE BASKETBALL

Huskies top Little Lions

Mifflin County’s ninth grade team beat State College, 49-16, in girls basketball on Monday evening.

For the Huskies, Jemma Kanagy had 19 points and Bella Yoder added eight points.

Grayce Napikoski and Sarah Hartsock each tallied seven points.

CHAMBERSBURG — Mifflin County wrestling topped Chambersburg on Saturday, 40-29.

At 121, Husky Andrew Alexander got a 14-1 major decision over Cody Seabolt.

Husky Bentley Felmlee earned a 17-0 tech fall against Ethan Paszkowski at 4:01.

Paxton Shawver, at 145, got a 14-4 win against Trojan Nathan Chambers.

Brian Albert, at 160, pinned Trojan Jose Castro at 3:45.

Payton Weaver and Jayda Kanagy each scored 13 points in the road victory.

Mackenzie Peachey added 10 points for the Lady Huskies (9-6).

Mifflin County goes to Hershey on Wednesday. Tip-off time is 7 p.m.
