Police respond to loose dogs

THOMPSONTOWN — On Saturday, Sept. 27, officers from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown received a call around 6 p.m. about a loose dog on Oakhurst Lane.

Officers arrived on scene and observed two dogs, a rottweiler and a small mixed breed were both off leash. The report states that officers are still investigating.

Minor injuries reported in Port Royal crash

PORT ROYAL — Officers from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a two-vehicle crash at 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, on Market Street, Turbett Township.

The report states that Dominic Scott, 18, of Mifflinburg, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet, traveling north on State Route 75 south. While attempting a left turn, he lost control of his vehicle due to road conditions and the speed he was driving. Scott proceeded to slide into the left lane, colliding with a 2024 Toyota which was traveling south on State Route 75 south.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage.

Scott related that he had minor cuts on his hand but was not transported for treatment.

The driver of the Toyota, Angel Kay, 20, of Clifton Heights, was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for minor injuries. There were three passengers riding with Kay, but no additional injuries were reported.

No injuries in Lewistown crash

LEWISTOWN — According to a report, officers from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a two-vehicle crash on Friday, Oct. 3.

The report states that around 8 p.m. a 2012 Ford Fusion was traveling north on US Highway 522 when approaching the intersection with Alfarata Road where a driver operating a 2019 Jeep Cherokee proceeded to pull in front of the Ford Fusion.

The driver of the Fusion related to officers that she attempted to stop but was unsuccessful, striking the Jeep’s rear tire.

Both vehicles then pulled off the roadway.

The Jeep sustained no damage, but the driver of the vehicle was cited for this crash.

The Fusion sustained bumper damage, but was drivable. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and were not injured.

Man arrested amid domestic dispute

RICHFIELD — On Monday, Sept. 15, Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a complaint regarding an inactive domestic dispute that took place from 6 to 8:30 a.m.

According to the report, the officer arrested a 58-year-old Richfield man.
