Mifflin Co. planning heads review projects

LEWISTOWN — Mifflin County’s Planning Commission took the following action during the board’s Thursday meeting:

• Approved a 90-day extension on a Wayne Township project that would develop a prior approved lot containing nearly 60 acres of land to create five new building lots for a solar energy system. Planning Director James Lettiere said the applicant, Burget & Associates, requested a one-year extension.

The Commission also reviewed the following plans:

• The addition of a lot in Armagh Township at 107 Pine Street and 6293 U.S. Highway 322 as requested by Robert G. and Carolyn I. Dilon;

• A lot line adjustment as requested by Dwight Kochenderfer and Nathan Smith running south and east of Ferguson Valley Road, about 377 feet east of the intersection of Sand Ridge Road;

• The addition of a lot located south of Hawstone Road and the Juniata River, Granville Township, requested by Toby and Beth Spigelmyer;

• The addition of a lot at 145 Jacks Mountain Road, Oliver Township, requested by Timothy and Kati Aumiller;

• A nonresidential land development for Josiah and Rhoda Lapp at 4597 U.S. Highway 522 South.
