Perry Co. man faces incest, rape charges

LEWISTOWN — A Millerstown accused of rape and incest is behind bars at Mifflin County Correctional Facility
Bryant A. Carrasquillo-Melendez, 36, was arraigned Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Tracy Powell on charges of rape of an unconscious victim, a first-degree felony; sexual assault, a second-degree felony; incest of a minor, a second-degree felony and corruption of minors, a third-degree felony for incidents taking back to September 2024.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown were contacted at about 4 p.m. Sept. 15 to follow up on a call from Cumberland County Crisis Intervention regarding a teenager who had been raped by someone in a residence on the 300 block of Dressler Ridge Road, Monroe Township, Juniata County.
While at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital, the teen stated that they became highly impaired the night before and that two family members helped them to bed.
Police said the results of a DNA testing through a sexual assault kit determined that Carrasquilla-Melendez’ committed the inappropriate acts on the teen.
Carrasquillo-Melendez is being held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 cash bail. He is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
