Kerstetter appointed to local development authority board
Shearer thanked for years of service on Juniata Co. board
MIFFLINTOWN- The Juniata County Commissioners Tuesday appointed county planning director Bradley Kerstetter to Juniata County Industrial Development Authority Board for a five-year term to begin on January 1, 2021 during their regular business meeting. Kerstetter replaces Ronald C. Shearer whose term expires on December 31. The commissioners went on to thank Shearer for his years of service on the board and also expressed their gratitude for Kerstetter’s willingness to serve.
Also during the meeting the commissioners approved the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 “County Human Services Non-Block Grant Report” Certification Statement as submitted by Allison Fisher, Mifflin-Juniata Human Services Director.
As originally advertised, there will be no Commissioners’ meeting on November 24, 2020.
The following action was taken during the meeting:
-Approved the 2020 allocation request for Liquid Fuel Funds for Monroe Township in the amount of $3,300.26
-Reviewed the October 2020 departmental reports: “Summary of Collections Report – Fines and Costs” as submitted by Jacqueline T. Leister, Magisterial District Judge. “Children and Youth Statistical Report” as submitted by Ashley J. Baxter, Children & Youth Director. “Sheriff’s Monthly Report” as submitted by the Sheriff’s Office.
-Approved the payment of checks #59788 – #59926 in the amount of $81,354.92.
