CURVE, Pa. – Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the eighth, Callan Moss slammed a go-ahead Grand Slam to send Altoona 4-2 win against Akron. The win extended Altoona’s win streak to six straight games, the longest of the season. It also marked a fourth straight game in which the Curve came from behind to earn a win against the RubberDucks. The Mifflin County field hockey team lost on Wednesday, 2-0, in a physical matchup against the Hershey Trojans. Traveling to the defending state quarterfinalists, Mifflin County conceded an early goal before playing the next 30 minutes to a dead even draw.
