Marriage requires unity and dedication To the Editor: Marriage is a lifelong joining of one man and one woman by God (Matt. 19:6). Those joined together “are no more twain but one flesh” (Matt. 19: 5-6; Gen. 2:24). Those joined together by God have responsibilities to each other given to them by God. They must join and yoke together and give what is due to each other as husband and wife. (1 Cor. 7:3,5). They are to live joyfully with one another in this life (Eccl. 9:9). In Christ, husband and wife are equal in essence and nature (Gal. 3:28). Within the marriage, God has set ...

Welcome back to common sense To the Editor: I am so glad we are returning to common sense in our country. We are passing the uncomfortable confrontations of gender, men in women’s sports and bathrooms, DEI, CRT, 1619, BLM, frivolous lawsuits, impeachments, definition of a secure border, definition of peaceful protest, parents rights to guide their children and returning to a country I, and many others recognize. I identify as American. There is no need to remark on my skin color, my sexual identity, or be branded with any color privilege. Seriously... who needs to do that? I realize ...

Illegal immigrants should be held accountable To the Editor: After having read the article in regard to our sheriff (Juniata County) linking with ICE, I found myself in total agreement with his actions. I do not subscribe to those who compare illegals with our fore-bearers entering this country. My grandparents came here legally through the front door and did not sneak across our borders.
