Commissioners recognize suicide prevention month

MIFFLINTOWN — Juniata County Commissioners proclaimed September as Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month on Tuesday. Karen Rush of FIRST Center spoke about the importance of raising awareness and providing a safe place for people to seek guidance. “Someone out there cares about them and wants to support them,” said Rush. LEWISTOWN — Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital is among seven Geisinger hospitals recognized for efforts to promote organ donation awareness and education. $11M available for EV charging stations in central Pennsylvania

STATE COLLEGE — Local counties are among more than two dozen counties eligible for a new round of federal funding aimed at expanding public electric vehicle charging stations in central Pennsylvania. The state announced Monday that $11 million will be made available for projects in the central region through the Community Charging phase of the federal National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program.
