Caron gets All-American honors

EUGENE, Ore. – Penn State finished the final day of competition at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. with six athletes receiving All-America honors to wrap up the 2025 outdoor season.

SATURDAY EVENT PERFORMANCES

Caron finished in 16th place in the women’s 5,000-meter finals at 15:49.72 to wrap up her 2025 outdoor season. Caron now owns five All-America honors in her career and earned her second of the 2025 Outdoor National Championships after claiming second-team All-America status in the 10K Thursday. Her career All-America list includes the outdoor 5,000m (2025), the outdoor 10K (2024, 2025), the indoor 5,000m (2025) and indoor DMR (2024).

Pitts finished ninth in the heptathlon with a total of 5,778 points to earn second-team All-America honors and move her to No. 3 all-time. She completed the final three events Saturday evening, finishing third in the 800m with a time of 2:12.47, 15th in the long jump with a leap of 5.82m and 17th in the javelin with a personal-best mark of 31.06m.

Pitts nabs the second All-America honor of her career, after earning second-team All-America status in the pentathlon at the 2025 Indoor NCAA Championships.
