Local 8-year-olds eliminated in Cal Ripken state playoffs

METHACTON — The Mifflin County 8-year-old Cal Ripken All-Stars saw its season come to an end in the state quarterfinals over the weekend. They went 2-2. In the first game on Saturday, Mifflin County beat East Brandywine, 22-4. But in the second game they fell to Methacton, 16-2. On Sunday, Mifflin County topped Daniel Boone, 3-2; however, the local All-Stars were eliminated by Spring-Ford, 10-0.
