Foley, Powell head to U21 Pan Am Cup

UNIVERSITY PARK – Two incoming freshmen on the Penn State men’s volleyball team are set to compete in the upcoming 2026 Men’s U21 Pan American Cup in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Middle blocker Isiah Powell and libero Drake Foley will represent USA at the event, while another incoming freshman, middle blocker Luc Soerensen, will serve as an alternate. MC Cal Ripken League Has successful tourney

LEWISTOWN — The Mifflin County Cal Ripken League had a very successful weekend in the District 13 playoffs as all four teams advanced to the state playoffs. The 9-year-old-and-under team went 3-0 as they defeated Perry County, 18-14; Juniata County, 16-4; and Perry County, 14-2, to win the title in the championship game. PGC wants public to report turkeys this summer

HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Game Commission is again asking the public to report sightings of all wild turkeys they see this summer. The annual Wild Turkey Summer Sighting Survey runs July 1 through Aug. 31. Public participation is important for wild turkey population management. These reports allow the agency to estimate how good the wild turkey ‘hatch’ was and compare long-term reproductive success within Pennsylvania and across states, as this is a standard methodology used across the country.
