SCOUTING THE POLAR BEARS: Mason Barnett connected on 11 of 18 passes for 102 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT in a 23-19 victory over Palmyra last week. His favorite target was Cash Keck, who caught 6 balls for 75 yards and 1 TD. Brody Leathery rushed for 69 yards and 1 TD. Keck also had a 22-yard TD run. Defensively, Jackson Lininger led the Polar Bears with 13 tackles, while Gage Whitt added 11, including 1 tackle for loss. Jake Brennan registered 1 sack. Tristan Wenrich racked up 177 yards on 3 KO returns.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES: Mifflin County made the long drive to Waynesboro and picked up a 35-24 win. Noah Wolfkiel was 4 of 10 for 143 yards and 2 TDs. Asher Pearce made 3 of those grabs for 134 yards and 2 TDs. On the ground, Jaxon Strohecker carried the ball 14 times for 60 yards and 1 TD. Defensively, Alonso Torres led the Huskies with 8 tackles, while Dodger Weaver finished with 7 tackles, including 1 tackle for loss. King Terry turned in an INT, and Weaver racked up 322 yards on 6 KO. Daniel Quinn was a perfect 5 for 5 on PATs.
UPPER DAUPHIN (3-3) at JUNIATA (1-5)

SCOUTING THE TROJANS: Upper Dauphin roughed up Camp Hill 41-6 a week ago as C McClain rushed for 211 yards and 2 TDs. Overall, the Trojans battered Camp Hill for 325 rushing yards and 4 TDs on 30 carries. B Wertz threw 4 of 6 for 54 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. Defensively, E Savage, D Huhn and K Hicks each finished with 8 tackles to lead Upper Dauphin. Savage added 3 tackles for loss, while Huhn had 2.5 TFL. The Trojan defense also sacked Camp Hill QBs 3.5 times on the night.
SCOUTING THE INDIANS: Juniata picked up its first win of the campaign with a 24-8 victory at Halifax. Juniata kept the ball on the ground as Ty Rowles rushed for 96 yards on 19 carries and Colton Hutchinson added 63 yards on 16 carries. Jason Condo, who completed only 1 of 8 passes for 3 yards, ran for 43 yards and 2 TDs. The Indians ended up with 202 yards rushing. Defensively, Quentin Houtz led Juniata with 8 tackles, while Logan Troyer, Jaxon Hostler and Bryce Harlon each added 7 tackles. Hostler and Jeffrey Fisher each added sacks, while Brian Kuhn and Bryson Summers picked up INTs.
MOUNT UNION (6-0) at JUNIATA VALLEY (4-2)

SCOUTING THE TROJANS: In a 26-8 win over Glendale, Mount Union focused on the ground game as Nasir Collins rushed 17 times for 108 yards and 2 TDs. Collins also completed 3 passes for 55 yards and 1 TD. Maddox Hobbs rushed for 54 yards and the Trojans hit 217 yards rushing. Defensively, Hobbs and Levi Hunsinger each had a team-high 11 tackles. Rahmeir Smith and Brycen Richards each earned 1 sack, while TyJeir Hooper picked off an INT.
SCOUTING THE HORNETS: In a 7-0 win at Moshannon Valley, Liam Lightner was a nearly flawless 7 of 8 for 63 yards and 1 INT. Andrew Clark ran for 68 yards on 19 carries and scored the game's only TD in the fourth quarter. Lightner added 9 runs for 61 yards. Elah Glenny was the top wideout with 5 receptions for 44 yards. Defensively, Clark made 12 tackles, including 1 tackle for loss. The Hornets sacked Moshannon Valley QBs a total of 7 times on the night.
MIDD-WEST (1-5) at LEWISBURG (3-3)

LAST MEETING: Hughesville 18, Midd-West 7 (2025)
SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS: Midd-West led 13-9 heading into the final stanza but saw Hughesville outscore the Mustangs 13-0 and capture a 22-13 win. Witten Carter finished 5 of 12 for 126 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. Mason Fultz and Aiden Rose each had a pair of receptions. Fultz went for 41 yards and Rose for 36 yards. On the ground, Fultz carried 6 times for 46 yards and 1 TD. D'Angelo Drumheller pulled in 1 catch that went for 63 yards. Defensively, RJ Wilt led the Mustangs with 9 tackles, while Rose and Graydon VanHorn each added 8. Both of them also had 2 tackles for loss. Jared Devine, Barry Penepacker and VanHorn each also had 1 sack.
SCOUTING THE GREEN DRAGONS: Lewisburg's offense was blazing last week as the Green Dragons came away winning a 61-42 barnburner against Loyalsock Township. Xavier Carter threw for 351 yards and 5 TDs on 14-of-22 passing. He also had 2 INTs. Jaylen Walker had 8 catches for 144 yards and 3 TDs, while Drake Osunde added 4 for 156 and 1 TD. Todd Dershem also ended up with a 21-yard TD catch. On the ground, Walker finished with 99 yards and 1 TD on 5 carries. Defensively, Dershem led Lewisburg with 8 tackles, while Elijah Carter added 7. The Green Dragons also notched 4 sacks.
