LEWISTOWN — Mifflin County was defeated by Northern York on Wednesday in field hockey action, 7-0.

The Huskies struggled to play their game during their final game of the season. They had some scoring opportunities but failed to capitalize.

JV Huskies also lost, 5-0, to the Bears.

Warriors drop Huskies, 3-0

Mifflin County girls soccer fell to Gettysburg on Wednesday, 3-0.

Allison Scheungrab posted two goals and Colleen Haines added one.

JV Huskies lost, 4-0, to the Warriors.

The Huskies are now 5-12 overall (5-9 MPC) and their next game is next Wednesday versus Altoona.

COCOLAMUS — East Juniata edged Susquenita, 3-2, on Wednesday.

EJ goals came from Cruz Martin (two goals) and Wrett Smith tallied the game-winner with 20 seconds left in the contest.

EJ assists came from Wrett Smith (two helpers).

Tiger saves came from goalie Kelton Bonnell, who posted 13.

Juniata clips Shamokin, 3-1

MIFFLINTOWN — Juniata (12-7) volleyball beat Shamokin on Tuesday night, 16-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-18.

Maddie Copeland had 29 assists and Hannah Graybill posted 20 kills, including her 500th career kill.

Miley Hack added 19 digs and 13 points. Hope Kehler recorded 11 points.

Juniata won the last three sets after dropping the first set.
