Fayette Community Carnival Committee thanks all

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Fayette Community Carnival Committee, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s carnival a tremendous success.

From our dedicated volunteers and generous sponsors to every family who came out to enjoy the festivities, your support, time, and enthusiasm were truly the heartbeat of the event.

Whether you helped set up, donated items, worked at a booth, or simply showed up with a smile, you played an important role in bringing much joy and togetherness to our community.

A special thanks to our township supervisors, local businesses, churches, media, and various organizations for their continued partnership, and to the countless individuals who went above and beyond to make the week memorable.

It’s moments like these that remind us just how special our community is. Thank you for helping us create lasting memories for all ages. We can’t wait to do it again next year! Next year’s theme will be “Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday.”

Serve God by living truth of his word

To the Editor:

There are many different types of religious activities in the world. Many are for false gods with false teaching. They have nothing to do with serving the only true God.

True religion is to “fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man” (Eccl.12:13). True religion is to love mercy, seek god’s knowledge, to do justly and to walk humbly before God (Hos.6:6:Mic.6:8). True religion is to “love the Lord with all my heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind and with all thy strength” (Mk.12:30) and to “love thy neighbor as thyself” (Mk.12:31). Those who have true religion will purge out their wicked ways and live sincerely by the truth of God’s word (1Cor.5:7-8) and will work to help those in need (Ja.1:27). They will live with simplicity and godly sincerity and not with fresh wisdom, but by the grace of God (2Cor.1:12). They will speak the truth of the word of God in Christ by His Holy Spirit (2Cor.1.2:17).

If we are truly serving God, we will live by the truth of his word, loving him and his people, showing grace and mercy to those he brings into our lives.
