Words can kill or heal; how do you use them?
To the editor:
Recently I opened up the paper and there was another letter from George Fisher.
I felt I had to write a response. I don’t pretend to know all the reasons why America has so many problems — greed could be a source of the problem. But I see a bigger problem — and that is the loss of civility and kindness with each other.
The letters that have been put in the paper are all views of different people — they are opinions and should be taken as such.
To call people stupid or ignorant is not civility, but cruelty.
I think we have a bigger problem in this country than greed and that is a lack of love and understanding with each other.
So, in closing I would like to quote a man that gave us a warning and that America will be destroyed from within — no bombs will have to destroy them.
Words can kill. Words can heal. We all have the choice.
